I had the blessing of growing up in a Christian home in Bainbridge, PA. I can remember accepting Christ as my personal savior at the age of five while laying in my Strawberry Shortcake covered bed with Dad by my side saying our evening prayers.
Throughout my life I have always looked for the Lord’s direction in the choices I made and the friends I surrounded myself with. From an early age, I felt the Lord calling me towards music ministry. However, while pursuing a career in contemporary Christian music in college He showed me another path. Through His guidance I changed my focus towards opera and musical theatre performance. Instead of singing about His glory, I was called to simply let His light shine through me, many times in an unsaved, worldly environment.
The Lord blessed me with wonderful opportunities to see His creation while performing around the world. However, none could compare to the beauty of the birth of my two beautiful daughters. My husband, Matt, and I have been married since August 2004 and are the proud parents of Audrey (born 07/09/07), Eileen(born 12/31/10) and baby boy Wieand due May 2013. I continue to perform locally and consider it a priviledge to teach private voice lessons from my home studio, the Wieand Vocal Studio.
This is only the beginning of the testimony of what God is doing in and through me.
His wonders never cease.
In His service,
